Just few days ago I got my new laptop. Reason: My old laptop was smoking and its LCD display got damaged. So it was asking for too much repair work. So finally I have purchased my new laptop. I have few problems with my old laptop. And from those problems one of was its battery. I was using my laptop as desktop computer on power all the time because its battery wasn’t working at all. And that problem was occurred only because of my few mistakes. And those mistakes I am not going to repeat with my new
laptop.Now I have got many ideas to care about my new laptop’s battery from my friends and relatives. It look like everybody are expert. Lol. Let’s talk about some of them.
Over Charging:: This was the mistake which I done with my old laptop. I was used to work on my old laptop with the charger on. And because of that after short time my battery wasn’t working like before and in the end it’s just became useless. So better we never over charge our laptop.
Switch Off The Bluetooth and Wifi:: If we are working on computer and we don’t need Bluetooth and wifi then better we switched off both of them because they sure eat battery very fast. So better we not remain them open unnecessarily.
USB Devices:: Just like
Bluetooth and wifi, USB devices also eat lots of battery power. So in case if we are not using them than better we don’t keep them plugged in. So that can save lots of power.Power Mode:: We having power mode option in our laptop. So better we use it. I mean if we are using our laptop without charger and if we want to work for long than better we switch to power saving mode so we can have our laptop on for long time. Power saver mode will reduce the brightness and few other things.
Graphics:: Windows 7 having good graphics in compare to previous operating systems. For better graphics, we are using Aero themes which gives very cool look. But that high graphics performance needs very high power. So if we want to run laptop for long than better we switch to normal graphics by selecting windows 7 basic theme.
So these are very normal and basic steps. But when we are in need, I mean when we want our laptop stay on for long then this steps really works efficiently.
