Everybody is having the different talents. Now a website is the good option for sharing that talent with the world. And blogging is the good and free option for the same. So I guess no one would likes to go for purchasing space for a site and then found a developer for the same. And it’s fair too because for that, we having some free services like blogger.
Now as we know that, free services like blogger not give the standard domain names like .com or .net. They give sub domain like blogspot.com behind our blog name. But we
have the option to put our own domain for the blog. And I guess we should go for it. I know many people think that there is no need to have personal domain name for personal blog. They are right, it is not compulsory to have it. But that will give you some additional features and benefits.Why??
I have read at many places that having that standard domain for blog is important. And it’s better for better search engine ranking too in compare of sub domain name. It is better that we have the standard domain for our blog if we want them with better search engine rank. And purchasing domain name is cheap too. I know not all can afford for website hosting cost and website developer for website just to share the knowledge. But at least we can go for this domain name so that our website can have something more.
If you are using your blog for earning purpose, like you having some ads on it. Then also it will be beneficial for you as your site traffic will improve because of that standard domain name. And because of that your earning can improve
too.Having our own domain name is like we having complete control over the blog. Let’s talk about blogger. Suppose we are using blogger for a blog. Now by chance if we break their rules then they can suspend our account any time as we are using their sub domain name service and in the end we can lose our content. But by our own domain name we can have complete control over the blog.
Domain name can be used at any place. I mean suppose I have integrated it with the blogger. Now I want to change my hosting to some another site. So that domain name will be move with us too. We can use that domain name for other hosting site too.
We will get the EMAIL service too, related to our domain name. Many domain selling sites gives this free feature with the domain name. We can create more than one email address related to our domain name. So plus one feature got added for our blog.
So there are many benefits of having our own domain for our blog. I just buy a domain name for my blog. And I paid around 9$ for a domain name for a year. So it is surely cheap deal. And it’s quite easy to integrate the domain name with our blogs.
So I guess if someone is serious about their blogging then they should go for the standard domain name for their blog.
